I have owned my trion for a year and a half.  I was cutting some 3/4" plywood and my saw is getting burning hot.  If I run it continually for a couple minutes, it gets so hot I cant hold onto it anymore.  Anyone else have this problem?

I looked it up on EKAT, the parts identifying web pages, and it looks like the air impeller, (Ventillator in EKAT terms), is splined to the same shaft as the armature. If it isn't cooling, perhaps the ventilation is clogged?

Have you tried to clean it up/out?

Depending on how it's used, I could see it getting gummed/clogged. I clogged my RO 90's air flow. Luckily, it was easy to remedy as are many things with these tools.

I would suggest calling service and asking their opinion.
