Tripod for a laser

Need suggestions for a tripod for indoor use in a finished jobsite. I need it to have an "elevator function" also. I already have a extendable pole mount.

Just go to a ca era shop and pick one up. You'll have a wide array of sizes to choose from with different levels of stability

This might sound stupid, but as you look for tripods, pay attention to the threads on your laser.  Some have the threads that work with camera tripod as Bob suggested, some have a larger thread.  You laser may have an adaptor also if it has the large threads.

I did pro photo work in another life.  I use a Gitzo I have.  Also I have the Upper hand and Third hands with the magnet laser mount.  I really like the poll as it doesn't get kicked/tripped over as much. but for quick set up the tripod wins.

What you my mean by "elevator function" I have never heard that term used with tripods.

+1 on the Gitzo.  I've had one for 30 years or so, and nothing approaches it for durability or stability.  The down side is that they're rather heavy.  You get what you pay for, though.  By "elevator function", do you mean an adjustable center column?  If so, all good tripods have them.

Adjustable center column is what I need. Thank you for the gitzo suggestion. I will look into that product line.
