TS 55 how to set blade to 90 degrees

Just realized my blade is not at 90 degrees when all the way down at stop. How do I adjust this, its off by at least 1 degree, you would think for the money this cost it would be set from the factory. From a earlier post the grinding noise still persists, I used several at 2 different Festool stores and did not hear this noise all the way through the cut but still get told this is normal. Not buying it. Thanks

This was indeed a gross oversight with the TS55REQ, which only had a rear bevel lock/stop.  But they supposedly corrected this with the REQ-F-Plus by adding a stop at the front.  Which model do you have?  This will dictate which correction/fix you employ to get it to zero.

Grinding noise is normal.

ear3, its the REQ PLUS bought 2 years ago. Thanks for help on adjusting this problem.

Check out this thread

I have not yet succeeded in calibrating mine correctly, but I will try again soon. (meanwhile I use a square to set the blade each time after making a bevel cut).

(My previous ts55 ebq came calibrated perfectly from the factory, and it never needed calibration after years of heavy use. Having the "feature" of being able to cut -1° came at a big cost.
I was contemplating to have a new base installed by festool on my old saw, because it was showing significant signs of wear, but it got stolen from me before I got to it (but it still cut square, even with the worn base))

2 years is < 3 years service all included.
Call Festool, either they'll talk you through the alignment procedure or they'll have it picked up and delivered back to you adjusted.

Thanks for the link Frank-Jan. Gregor, is it free shipping both ways for 3 years or just the first year. I can probably adjust it myself with a tip from the link. Thanks

If you decide to ship back to Festool it is free shipping both way for three years.  You should call and confirm.

Yeah, it's a serious oversight that there isn't a true hard stop at 90° - mine seems to be spot on when the arrow is exactly on the 90. Then I lock it down. But its a bit unnerverving...  You need measure it with a precise bench angle and find out ...
If you need something better, get the Mafell.
The noise is normal. All the festool track saws i've used sound like a mix between a jet engine reving up and a washing machine ful of nails...

TS 55 Req Plus USA. Cutting thru 1-1/4” MDF.  Cut is not 90 degree. As pointed out previously in this thread, I loosened the front and rear Torx and adjusted until the blade was 90 degree to the base.  Tightened the back bevel lock, then the front, still not cutting 90 degree.  Tried adjusting the small set screw at the front near the green -1 degree lever with both back and front bevel locks still tight. Still not 90.  Had for 1 year. Read way too much advice online.  What do I do ? How can this $$$$ saw not have positive stops is question of all time.  No, neither Festool regular manual and supplemental manual don’t address this.  Really don’t want to send the saw to Festool but I’ve run out of adjustments to try.  Any ideas ? No room for a table saw.

I find that you should tighten the rear knob before the front after setting the desired angle. I am sure this has been mentioned by others on similar threads.
