To keep the TS -55 owners manual in the Systainer but out of the way I used a sharp utility knife to remove the tab at the back of the plastic tray.  Now the manual stays handy and out of the way.
Being new to FOG I did try to search for a similar post unsuccessfully.  My apologies if this is a duplication.

I use quart or gallon ZipLock freezer bags to hold the manuals in the tool case. Keeps them dry and clean.

I put my manual still unread in a drawer in my desk along with all the other unread manuals  [big grin]

Festool manuals are pretty much the minimum needed to get you going. After a quick flick through they go into a cupboard, never back in the systainer.

A sys4 is the right shape to store A4 and smaller formats. I keep all my manuals in the one spot for easy reference.

Yeah, I never keep them in the systainer either. They will be destroyed very quickly with me that way. But I always read the manual for a new tool when I get it and memorise the important things.

I write serial no,s date of purchase dealer etc on the manual and put them in a folder. Good to have a hard copy in case of theft etc

With cell phone cameras one can take pictures of the purchase receipt and serial number tag on the device. They can printed out and placed in the owners manual and kept on the phone for reference as needed.

There are file racks available for Sys3 T-Locs and Classic Systainers to hold file sleeves and file folders. One can also print out the supplemental manuals and  have them ring bound or buy the binding equipment and do it yourself. You can then store the supplemental manual in the documentation case, the tool case or both if you print 2 copies.

I simply remove the tool and base insert and store manual underneath on all my tools.
That way they are always with the tool, kept safe and no hassle with extra storage.  [poke]

I keep all my manuals in an old style Sys-mini.

It's hard to open, but I never really need to...... [cool]
