TS 55 REBQ-Plus .... When did this come out, and what about Greenies in Canada?

Someone on a Canadian forum posted about a new version of the TS55 plunge saw and was wondering when it would be available in the Great White North, aka Canada.  It's on the US Festool website, but not the Canadian one???

I don't recall any recent threads here about this new product at all, but then again, I've been a little on and off forums lately.  What's the big pluses, and minuses, of this newer version, and does anybody have one or can post a link to a review?

Don't think there is a release date for NA/CA yet.  It's only been out a couple of months here.

This updated TS55 has been talked about a couple of months ago and was released fairly recently in Europe and other parts of the world but not in N. America.  Shane posted that there is no ETA at time.  BTW, that's not the US site linked in your post, it's a general international site in English.  So don't feel left out up in the Great White North, we don't have it either.

I spent 2 years in Canada - It was  minus 30 Centigrade when I arrived that year and I had to drive 200 miles north in a canvas top jeep!

How close were you to the north Pole when you came here Peter?  Most poplated areas of Canada do get summers you know.  And in a canvas Jeep.  Was this a military related trip?

The trip was from Kingston to Petawawa in January 1982 - I was on the way to a Winter Warfare course. We spent 2 weeks under canvas and a couple of nights in lean-to shelters - it was quite chilly!
