What exactly has changed from the TS 55 REQ Plus to the REQ F Plus? Would be nice if this wasn't so difficult to find.

A side to side picture of the modification in question would be nice too. Please.

The TS 55 REQ F Plus, as listed on the Festool USA website, is just the current model of the saw offered in the U.S. which includes an imperial scale, 575387. This version does not come with a guide rail included, it's optional.

The TS 55 REQ Plus, is the old discontinued model with a metric scale and a guide rail included, 561566. Technically, I think they need to update their website because it has been replaced with a newer item # which is 575388 - a saw with imperial scale and a rail, same price.

A third yes vote here...that’s a traditional function of field service which is acutely aware, as they should be, of the manufacturing changes to product in the field. Those manufacturing changes will be well documented and will be highlighted with approximate implementation dates and usually serial numbers.

To clarify, are you stating with certainty that there are no changes between the REQ Plus and the REQ F Plus aside from metric/imperial scale?

I've heard multiple reports that they improved the 90 degree bevel stop design in the F model so that it's easier to reset to perfect 90 degree cuts. I'm not sure if this is true or just hearsay, so I'd like to get an official confirmation of this or any other relevant differences.

From the other thread you commented in and tagged me, here is my response:

I didn't say it was the only change, but that's the most significant difference between the two. Festool doesn't always state ALL of the changes from model to model and sometimes there are rolling changes without a product number change. This was the case with 561566 (the now discontinued version of the TS 55). You can read my announcement about the change to the bevel stop in the thread below:
