TS 55 REQ Supplemental Manual

Will a copy be included with the saw?

Need to know before I print one out...

We only provide it electronically on the website. Printed copies are not currently included by Festool. Some dealers, including some on the FOG, include them. Check with your preferred dealer.

(speaking as an ex-writer of manuals) Rick's manuals are among the best for any  product, not just for tools.

I'm going to read it even though I have no (immediate?) plans to purchase the saw.

I am taking the plunge! Going to buy my first track saw next week, thanks for the informative manual Rick!  [thumbs up] [not worthy]

Have a good one,

Thanks for the kind comments, guys.....well, everyone except Skids, he kind of scares me.  [scared]  (just kidding)  [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

It's interesting. I was searching through some old files on the computer this morning, and stumbled across a Word document that contained copies of the original email exchanges I had with Christian O. that started all of this back in September of 2004. I was supposed to be writing a product review for the ATF55E saw, but within a couple of days of getting the saw (10/1/2004) I decided to write a new manual instead.

I didn't even tell Christian that I was working on a manual at first. I kept it to myself for probably about a month before asking him whether he wanted one or not. I wanted to have a partial manual in-hand before I even brought the idea up. The only reason I finally called him was because I needed some technical specifications I couldn't locate on my own. Without even seeing a draft copy of what I had started, he told me he wanted a manual. And that's where it all began.  [thumbs up]

A bit offtopic here maybe, but I really regret there isn't one of Rick's excellent manuals for the HL850 planer.

When I noticed I was getting end snipe when using mine, I was actually a bit happy; because I was looking forward to downloading the supplemental manual and reading in a comprehensive way how to calibrate it.
