TS 55 sparks ?

Hi,

I was using my TS 55 - purchased last June - today and whilst doing some 45° cuts, through the vent holes under the handle, I noticed some sparks in the motor. Is this normal ? I'd not done many 45° cuts before I could be that I just never noticed it before.

Seeing some sparks from the brushes this is normal. If you’re saw is operating normally otherwise, you’re in good shape. However, if you’ve noticed a significant drop in power, you may want to consider contacting the service department. Mostly like, you have nothing to worry about.

ok, now I have a BIG loss of power. Yesterday I tried to cut 2 layers of 18mm MDF, and the blade almost came to a standstill !!
Surely it should be able to cut through that easily, no ?
Anyway, I'll call customer service tomorrow.
