I have a TS-55 and recently ordered a TS-75
I am wondering if I can use both saws on the same guide rails?

Thanks!
Rod

There is a thread on this, but I'm not certain where on FOG. Calibrating your TS saws to use the same tracks is absolutely possible, but I still haven't made the TS75 leap myself and haven't bothered to gain the necessary knowledge.

Obviously, don't run your TS75 down a set up track until you've read the info  [wink]

Someone will remember and post soon.

Oh come on Kev, it is just a matter of time before you get one...you know you want a new TS75 to help round out your collection...just wondering how long it will take to get it.  [big grin] [poke]

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the information.

Maybe this is a question for Shane but is it possible to send both saws in to Festool service for identical setup?

I'm fighting an emotional battle between the TS75 + CMS module for it and a CS70 Precisio ... so I'm skirting the issue and buying everything else!  [embarassed]

1.2 mm difference. I have owned a TS55EQ and recently sold it and upgraded to a REQ. I have a TS 75EQ. I installed and recut the new edge for the new REQ. Was I surprised today when I put my TS 75 on the rail and watched the  new edge disappear. 1.2mm difference. The REQ is going back tomorrow and fortunately the dealer has a new  TS 55EQ in stock. I used the same guide rail with both saws before and had no problem.

Just a note .... you still may need to calibrate the new TS55 EQ to match your current TS75.

MY MISTAKE!!!!! I forgot the first basic rule of owning a track saw...... set the guide jaws. It turned out as I was using the saw I was pushing it away from the rail causing the 1.2mm difference. Upon further reading of the manual (these things really do help). They do not spend much time on the guide jaw setting and I think it should be made clearer. Anyway I'm back in my shop with a TS55REQ and a TS75 using the same guide rails, and am happy.

Because you called these "Guide Jaws", I assume you haven't read the Supplemental manual yet. That term is used only in the factory manual, which does not explain how to match two saws for use on the same guide rail. Each generation of saws is slightly different, so the procedure has changed a little with each one. However, the TS55 REQ manual does mention how to adjust TS55EQ & TS75EQ saws too.
