TS 55R angle problems

[eek]

I'm actually picking up my new (and first ever) TS 55R tonight - purchased it last week but it was back ordered.  Was all excited about tonight but after reading all of the postings, I'm nervous....and not in a good way!

Would switching (assuming there is an issue) to the TS 75 be overkill considering that most of my upcoming projects will involve ply (doing cabinets)?  But on the other hand, my table saw is just a portable Dewalt.

Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it.

If you're cutting ply chances are you will want it 90 degrees >99% of the time. It honestly doesn't matter what the indicator reads, as long as it cuts square. If you ever do need to cut at an angle, I (and presumably most people) would only use the indicator as a rough guide, and would do test cuts to get the angle exactly right.

As it happens, on both TS55R's I've used the indicators are pretty much bang on - I don't know how/why some would be right & others miles out, but don't assume that yours will be wrong.
