The MT55cc is $300 more expensive than a TS55 here in the states, I would considered 60% of the tool's cost to be a significant difference.

As you are quoting me please realise I do not live in the states and unlike festool mafell is probably not subsidised in the states by buyers thoughout europe

Lol well, they should. I agree with others that releasing this new TS 55 R after Mafell's MT 55 is a mistake. Festool put the bar high with their original rail saws, now Mafell put the bar higher, and Festool should respond by putting the bar even higher. Festool is lucky Mafell is so incredibly unknown to the public. But that might change.
