Ts 75 dumb question, vibration and a little smoke

Hello folks. I just got my brand new TS 75 saw and just fired it up with the stock blade. I'm not cutting anything yet, just spinning up to speed with no load. Ive noticed a couple of things which I am not sure if are normal. There is an uncomfortable vibration sound/feeling when the saw spins at certain speeds at idle, not the usual electronic control, but more the whole thing is vibrating slightly. This doesnt happen when I spin up without the blade at any speed. Also when i let go of the trigger there seems to be a very minor puff of smoke from the exhaust nozzle at the front, which smells like burning lubricant/new saw smell. You can just see a slight puff of smoke as the blade spins down and when its almost at standstill. The blade is fully seated and tightened and there is no damage to the blade. I would have thought this thing would be spinning like a gyroscope smooth considering the cost etc. Any suggestions? TIA

Just use the saw instead of questioning it without any use.

In the US you have 30 days to use and evaluate it, and if you don't like it you can return it.

My dealer, Highland Woodworking, would exchange the tool with zero questions asked. To me, smoke and vibration are not what I would expect from a new saw. I have the 55 and never had these issues.

As Birdhunter said, smoke is never good.  However, if it smells like lubricant or "new saw" smell, that's probably all it is.

In addition, Festool tracksaws are known for having a bit of a growl to them when not under load.  That seems like it covers the vibration aspect.

I would make some cuts with it and see how it fares.  If the smoke turns black or changes smell, there's the 30-day window if you purchased it as a brand new tool.

I like that new tool smell. My Metabo MFE 65 had a tremendous amount of it  8)

I've never had an unbalanced blade.

As other have suggested, try cutting something.  The "problem" will either go away, or get worse.    If the later, then return it.
