TS 75 track saw (clicks at top of plunge)

I have both the TS 55 and 75 track saws.
These track saws have changed the way I construct!

Both saws have made difficult tasks and turned them to simplistic tasks.

However, the TS 75 has one little glitch that has sort of frustrated me since I got the saw (approximately 1.5 years ago):

- as you start the plunge (when blade set to any and all depths) the saw clicks. What I mean is that when activating the plunge range of motion, near the top of the plunge, the saw clicks on something (not visible what it is hitting on). He does not inhibit the overall performance of the saw, it just makes it seem like something isn't sliding right. The blade spin is not affected. I realize that at the top of the push, the green trigger must be pressed to let the plunge action engage. The "click" sound and slight pause is about 10% of the way towards the blade being dropped into material. It occurs after green button is pressed and stopper is retracted (that would be right at beginning of plunge).

This is sort of hard to explain further. If a Festool tech could call me on this, that would be greatly appreciated. Right me email for further contact.

Let me know if anyone can help me on this.

Hi,

Not sure about the click, but give Festool service a call. The number is 888-337-8600.
