Hey All, my first post/question!

Just purchased the dust extractor CT26 and started to cut drawer panels. The swilveling dust outlet on my saw keeps turning to the down position which causes the hose to hang up enough to knock my cut off line!

Do I have to buy the hose hanger/arm thingie? Not sure it's worth the hundreds they ask!

Btw, ❤️ my TS55 with the different length tracks! Wow!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks

Welcome :)

I feel your pain as the hose is a challenge.

Two options.

First check to make sure the hose is clear before starting the cut. Putting the hose over your shoulder may help.

Second spend more money. The conversion piece/adaptor stops the swivel from going into the down position. Eventually I will install one on my saw. Note it does require disassembly of the outer cover.
This kit comes with a dust bag. Also available from other sellers.https://www.festoolproducts.com/festool-ts-55-req-tracksaw-dust-bag-conversion-kit.html

Adaptor 10015824

Might also be worth it to make sure your saw is running tight on the track.

I put the CT at the far end of the rail and then cut towards it. That seems to help after the first foot or so but I still have to watch carefully when I start the cut to keep the hose and cord away from the rail end.

I wrap my swivel with silicone tape and that helps keep the nozzle where I want it to be and I can still rotate the nozzle.  Versachem 82110 WrapIt 1" x 10' Repair Silicone Tape

i have the dust bag kit on my ts, works great in function, but does not like to sit in the systainer well. it is a little longer and presses on the side of the box.

The hose will get more flexible over time and pull less at the dust outlet.

Also, if you use the rail, you might want to get Festool #489022.
Or Festool #497657 that also contains 489022 (among many other things). The 497657 Systainer includes enough free space to also hold Festool 489571 (300mm clamps), 2x Festool 491594 (the 160mm quick clamps) and Festool 490031 (Trion guide rail adapter) all at the same time.

Doesn't help much
