TS55 REBQ

I just bought a TS 55 and was wondering do I have to cut through the green splinter guard as well as the one on the rail as the blade won't go down when I plunge the saw? I don't want to ruin the guard if this is not right.

I highly recommend that you visit Rick Christopherson's Supplemental Manuals page and check out his manual for your saw. I notice he also has an Into video to the saws.
