Hi, I am new to this page also to Festool, I am a fan of makita tools but when it came to a plunge track saw I took a long time to decide to go for the Festool after reading all the reviews and watching U-tube videos etc. I took the plunge and purchased the TS55REBQ with two tracks two connectors and a track bag. On delivery the feet on the base of the case was very rough and groved do thay drag them around on the floor? yes I know you could say its a tool box! then I found the black plastic tray that the saw sits on broken, so I thought if the dealer sends me a new box all will be OK.
I will take a look at the saw before I telephone about the box. The presets at 0 and 45 degrees do not work it  goes from -1 to 47 with out the green knob pulled out, I thought if this can be adjusted I still will only need a new case, the book states settings factory preset can be reset at the service centre. Very Very disappointed.

If the insert is broken it may have been dropped , which may  have knocked it out of kilter . Get it swopped for another one .
P.s. Welcome on board .

Welcome to the FOG! , oldfitter.

I see a trip to your dealer in for an exchange in your future.

Because the limit stop for -1/47 degrees is at the rear of the saw and the angle gauge is at the front, if you tilt the saw too hard into the limits you will skew the main housing enough to register the -1 and 47 degree angles at the front.

Yeah I noticed that skew on my new saw , I don't remember the old saws doing that. I suppose the old saws had positive stops at front and back , for 45 so you wouldn't notice and skew.

Oldfitter, I would send it back and get another one. You will never be happy with it. Regards the 45 etc Ricks comments are right. I wasn't too impressed with mine , the gauges don't seem as accurate as my old ts55. I'm sure with use I will compensate for it so shouldn't be a problem.

Are there any projected dates when this saw will be released for sale again?

Hi,

No, and at this point I think speculation would be a moot point.
