TS75 “Growls” Under Load

I did a search and didn’t see the answer, so I’ll ask. I hope I’m not redundant.

My TS75 makes a growling noise when under load. It is not consistent and has done this since I purchased it in 2012. I cut a fair amount of old growth softwoods (mainly trimming door edges) and new sheet goods.

Is this sound possibly the blade clutch slipping?  I don’t feel that I am pushing the tool too fast or expecting too much from it. All in all, I am very satisfied with the tool and the performance. I’ve just always wondered what causes this sound.

Mine does it as well when cutting 1" hardwood. There is a thread here somewhere on it. If I recall correctly, I believe the thinking was that it is the electronics adjusting the motor speed.

Usually it is the result of the electronics adjusting the motor speed.  It would seem to be probable that in thicker woods (higher load) it would happen more often.

Thanks.  I knew I was told or read that it was normal.  I simply couldn’t remember what the reason was.

Mine does the some I can't get mine not to do it without start on one and only go to 3 or then it starts rasle in handle i thought maybe it was a break or somtehing,but that's not  normal the noise with out is 50% the other noise is terribly it sound like a 100% saw beside now used yet only flushed trim guard TS74 EBQ plus 1 day old ;

It's completely normal from what I've observed, and simply the result of motor calibrating to speed of cut and material.  Never had an issue with cut quality on ts75, other than one that was the result of a worn baseplate.

My older TS55 behaves similarly and my understanding is that this is normal behavior as the electronics adjust relative to load.
