Hi All

Used my Festool UK voucher to purchase the above combo to make more use of my CMS. I had a dewalt table saw at the end of two MFT3's but constantly replacing it with the CMS to run the router module. The Dewalt extraction was pretty poor so it was time for it to go.
I have a TS55 so the TS75 will be CMS use only.
Arrived and set up today and cannot express how delighted I am.
The kit itself is lovely, nicely machined and the dust extraction is absolutely superb!
The extension VB fence is for width as I have the MFT's to the rear for support, it feels solid and was super easy to fit and calibrate (the front rail has a scale for rip dimensions).
I haven't ordered the stopper fence and I'll wait to see how I get on with the angle head fence that comes with the CMS insert but so far with the test cuts I'm delighted.
I haven't done any angled cuts yet and I know some previous posts have said its a weakness of the set up. I was thinking that I'll simply remove the insert, set the angle and replace it.
Did I say the dust extraction was superb!
Cheers.
Scott

Adjusting blade angle is the worst of it. Blade height is actually nice and easy. If you're ok with getting down under to tweak the angle it's not that bad, but you wouldn't want to be doing it every few minutes!

In much the same way, I have a TS 55 R for general use and my TS 75 stays in my CMS module too. I also have the VB-CMS/CS 50 extension table, the VL extension table and the ST sliding table and can recommend them all.

I'm not a fan of the "Stopper LA-CS 50/CMS" fence however; never really got on with it and have replaced it recently with an Incra LS Positioner. If you do decide you want one, drop me a PM as I'll ultimately get around to selling it and it's hardly been used at all.

For angle cuts, I just raise the blade and use a Wixey Digital Angle Gauge with magnetic base to set. Piece of cake.

[member=13058]Kev[/member] , yeah the height adjust seems fine, I think it might take a bit of adjusting to get within a small tolerance for say a rebate but it's quick enough to adjust to TAT (teeth above thickness) [tongue]

[member=11629]GarryMartin[/member] I've got a digital gauge and as you say it's the best way to check or find an angle whilst adjusting a machine.
I'd be interested in your stopper fence but also a full list, cost and spec for your Incra fence just in case as it might help with the OF router adjustment?
I also have the sliding table and will use it on certain jobs to cross cut. I like the kapex for most of the cross cutting we do but there are jobs where the CMS / 75 set up will improve the workflow.
Thanks.
Scott

[member=25539]SMJoinery[/member] I went for the metric version of the Incra LS 25 Positioner; the 635mm LS Super Fence System from Rutlands for £400.

It's a fabulous piece of kit and in my opinion, although expensive, worth every penny. As you mention, on the router table, it's a cut above anything else I've ever used and makes some very complicated joints so easy. Take a good look at some of the instruction videos and bear in mind that in this case, it really is as easy as they make it look!

I'm using it with my MFT/3-VL at the moment and haven't really looked at how it could be mounted for use with the CMS GE but I've seen some clever options on the FOG so plenty of ideas.

Whats the difference between the LS Super Fence and the plain LS Fence.. it's hard for me to understand the cardinal points..

The Super System also includes the Wonder Fence. The attached photo has the Standard LS Fence greyed out so you can clearly see the Wonder Fence additions. Hope this helps.

The combo of the 75, MFT and VL with the Incra is great. I use it a lot. In fact I just made some molding this weekend from old maple stock. I use a combo of the Incra and old table parts for a thin rip guide.

Thanks Garry for clarifying the difference between the incra fences. I too will probably end up getting the VL and the incra fences down the line, so I've put off getting the LA stopper fence for now.. I don't see any problem though owning both the CMS GE and VL units..
