TS75 Panther vs Standard Blade?

The Panther blade is a specialised fast rip blade for wood. Works very quickly but leaves a rough cut.
The standard 18t blade is more or less a jack of all trades, you can do almost anything with it, cross cut and rip, in wood, soft plastics and construction panels.

The Panther has very aggressive high-positive teeth with oversized gullets to evacuate the stringy chips you get from ripping, especially thicker material. The 18T standard is less aggressive but can and is used for ripping as well. The panther is a bit unpredictable regarding the surface quality. It seems most folks feel it leaves a very rough surface that would need follow-up attention with sanding or planing. Every once in a while someone will claim they get a very nice finish with a Panther blade. I guess I would not count on that. The standard blade is pretty versatile but it won't give you as fine a cut as the finer toothed blades either. Its best use would be for ripping and crosscutting thicker hardwoods that would tax the power of the saw when using the fine tooth blades.
I have a Panther blade for my Precisio table saw. Last summer I used it while building an Ipe deck and it performed amazingly well even while ripping at maximum depth. I don't believe it gets any more demanding than that. Surface quality was pretty good but I wasn't expecting glue ready cuts.
