This is my 1st post. Got a TS75EQ, a MFT/3 and a CT36 two weeks ago and getting started after reading many hundreds of posts and watching several hours of videos.

Doing some "inside" cuts on 3/4 ply (18 mm) and want to come up to 1 1/2 " of the far edge.  I have been doing some trial and error, but was wondering if there are any lists or tables of where the stop should be for different plunge depths (using 25 mm setting for this job) to get a cut a certain distance from the far edge.  I do understand the cut kerf is curved and will need to be hand cut to straighten out the end of the cut.

Thanks,  Chuck

Setup the rail at the edge of the sheet, set you plunge depth and do a test pass without the saw on. You will still need to cut a small amount of material due to the radius of the blade.

Don,

I understand your approach.  I would then set the stop after doing the test cut and have a repeatable location to cut to.

Thanks, Chuck

Your not actually making a cut but you can plunge your saw next to the plywood and see where the blade is going to stop. Then set your rail stop there I would give yourself a bit of wiggle room the first try. You can always go back and readjust to get closer if you want.
I just used the stop for the first time last week and just got close to my mark not dead on. Take your time and go slow until you get used to using the stops with the saw.
Good Luck!

DO NOT DO WHAT IS WRITTEN BELOW ON YOUR MFT!

If you regularly do inside plunge cuts the TS saws actually have indicator lines on the blade side of the housings that show the starting and stopping points IF THE BLADE IF SET TO FULL DEPTH.  There are limit stops (491582) available to control and make safer the plunge operations.
