TS75 questions

I have numerous questions on the TS75.
I plan on using this for 3/4" plywood on a cut table I made.
I also want to use it for straightening up an edge on rough lumber up to 14' long, maybe longer later..
What is the max cut depth while on the track?
Will the track for the 75 work with the 55 (later) and routers?
Are there other manufactures for the blade?
I make wood strip canoes (a variation of it anyway) and I think this could do a lot for me.

Cut depth is 2 15/16" on the rail
All the guide rails are the same with the exception of the HK rail.
There are few other blade manufacturers. 

Usually not a good idea to switch saws on the same track due to the splinter guard but if you happen to have the TS55 & TS75, you can adjust the blade so they both cut on the exact location on the splinter guard.

3/4" is about 19-mm
A TS-55 cuts to a depth of 55-mm, and a TS-75 cuts to a depth of 75-mm.

What do you use for the canoes now?

I did the Farm Table class at Gregory Paolini Design a few months ago (highly recommended). 

This class included using the TS75 to prepare rough lumber for gluing up the top.  I have the TS-75 but mostly use it with sheet goods, so I thought they were kidding when they said the TS-75 was all that was needed – no jointing or other stock preparation. 

It worked remarkably well and I suspect it would be much easier than handling a long piece over a jointer.

I have used my TS75 for edge jointing heart pine.  After glue up you cannot tell where the seam is.  No jointer was used.  Worked great.

The blade that comes with the TS75 is a general use blade which will probably be good for ripping.  Do some test cuts to see if it gives the results you are looking for.  You may need a different blade.  Festoolproducts.com sells blades from other manufacturers that will fit the TS75.

It was a very aggravating task and ruined a couple splinter guards in the process but i was able to get them very close.
If you are the only user and have enough rails, i would leave it alone

Or put the 75 into a CMS and move on... IF you are not in NA.

Thanks for that.  I spent days just trying between 2 saws.  I was only able to get it "very close".  For me it wasn't worth the effort.

Thanks for that.  I spent days just trying between 2 saws.  I was only able to get it "very close".  For me it wasn't worth the effort.

I have 4 TS saws, they all match. If I ever get an HK, I'll match it to the other saws.

Thanks Tom.  You mention the 55R.  Does the older 55 have the same amount of adjustment as the 55R?  I did not use a jig (I wasn't that smart  [sad]).

The R model has about 1/2-2/3 the adjustment as the E model (never measured the difference, kinda guessing on this). That is why the R was my baseline.

If I ever get an HK, I'll find out how that adjustment is.
