Matabo has 36v adapter for table saw, DeWalt 24v adapter about the same size. Not saying it can't be done, but the HKC would be almost a no-brainer in comparison.

While it would be a pain electrically, if you had a setup where you are pulling power from the wall, and a battery can be there for surges, that could be nice.
Cheese said:To your point, maybe 6-7 years ago I stumbled upon a red drill that had exactly those features. It wasn't Milwaukee, Mafell or Hilti and I've tried to find it again on several occasions just to find out how it faired.
It was a cordless hammer drill that you could also plug directly into the wall and while you were using it on 120 v power it was also charging the battery...pretty slick. A nice compact package that contained all the parts and you didn't need to swap batteries and power supplies in and out. You were always good to go. [big grin]
