I’ve been asked to make some more wood bracelets by friends. I use exotics and often mix species in the same bracelet. I’ve experimented with various finishes and now use thin super glue exclusively.
I turn the lathe up to a high speed, don gloves and eye protection, drip some thin super glue on a small cloth, and wipe it across the bracelet. It dries instantly so multiple coats can be applied in minutes. The finish is durable and the gloss can be dulled with a wipe with white abrasive.
The ladies love the bracelets.
