Hello All, here is my second mahogany cabinet built with the Domino Joiner.  This is constructed out of Honduras Mahogany joined with multiple # 5 domino tenons.  The 3 drawers were constructed out of Popular wood and edge joined with the Domino Joiner with 2 tenons on each edge.

The shelves are adjustable using an idea I read about in the Taunton Press book on Design ideas where I used a 12 gauge wire as a hidden shelf support.  The shelves were stop slotted on the sides to accept the wire and relieved in back to allow wires from entertainment electronics to be fed between the shelves and power source.  The 3 drawers were installed with Accuride ball bearing slides.

I finished the cabinet with 2 coats of Tung Oil and let it dry for 3 days and then after lightly sanding, I applied 3 coats of Minwax Wipe On Poly and finished it off with a coat of wax.

Great job!Nice clean lines and careful execution.  The finish is sweet.

If you want to go "all domino" you could avoid buying the wire shelf supports, run the domino down the edge of the board to create your slot, then use dominos on the case sides for the supports, slide the shelf on and you're good to go

I cannot answer for the OP, but I don't see a grain expansion problem in the pix.  All expansion will be occurring in the same direction.  I don't see any opposing grain issues.  Am I wrong?

The Mahogany was left over material from some door project  I did a long time back and at that time I payed $3.90/BF for rough FAS material.  Recently, one supplier quoted me $5-6/BF for the material.  I used about 60BF for the cabinet so, with slides, pulls, finish material, it costs roughly $450.

Chris - I found some nice white pencils at the stationary store.  I can get a fairly thin line for marking and it comes off with an eraser.

Bones, all of the panels run in the same direction so my only concern was with the end grain glue joint long term durability.  I did make a larger piece out of the same mahogany twenty years ago, with double rows of #6 biscuits for all joints and that piece is solid after heavy duty use.  That cabinet was 43" wide x 21" deep x 63" high and has been used to house a 32" Sony XBR TV along with a lot of other components and books.
