Two MFT/3's are better than one!

Having seen many posts on here about using 2 x MFT/3's I decided I needed to do the same so this is what I came up with. The trolley it's all mounted on may not be as pretty as others I have seen but it is very robustly made.

With the fence held in place by just the fence clips rather than the protractor the crosscutting capacity is 42 inches, I'm 6 foot tall so I can comfortably get the TS-55 to cut this length. My main reason for building this was I do a lot of routed housings and wanted to be able to get 2 sides of a cabinet routed in one go by putting them both on the table. Having 2 flagstops is very handy as well.

I bet that's handy. I've wanted to do something similar but haven't had the time. I have thought, though, that having 2 tables on separate bases that could be joined together in different configurations would be handy. However, the MFT's would have to hang over the base a little all the way around so that you could get the tops to butt up against each other.

I'd like to put my two MFTs on a common base so that they are co-planer (my floor are somewhat uneven and even using the height adjuster doesn't get them perfect).  When connected, are the holes still 96mm apart (or actually 192, with the missing row between tables?).

my floor is a complete mess and i got rubber shims in various thickness that are used to level pool tables. Got it perfect. An extra long level is a must. Mine is at least 1.5 times the length of one table.

That is a good point, so maybe 3 tables together in an L shape would be the most useful then you'd have more than one possible way to make cuts. I don't think I have either the money or the space.

I wish the MFT/3 table had an asterisk next to it that said "you'll like this table so much, you'll end up wanting 2 more"  [crying]  No money for 2 more!
