I had a great day yesterday at Axminster tools in Sittingbourne along with other Festool users listening to the dulcet tones of Phil Beckley waxing lyrical about the Festool products
I think there were eight of us, some having asked for specific tools to be demonstrated, with future purchase’s in mind.

The track saws were covered highlighting the importance of using the correct blade for the material and cut, the new HKC impressed many with its ease of use and flexibility
Then on to the Kapex which I think is always a hit, although not best suited for those who need to cut 4x4 in one chop !!  As for the Carvex 420 jigsaw well what a great piece of kit and boy does Phil know how to drive it.  Love those “sharp sticky out bits” on the  FSG blades !!
The Domino 700 and 500 were both well received.
Phil showed how to use two Sipo dominos to join a stepped rebated tenon joint used in window construction - he makes it all look so easy. Dust extraction was well covered with the new CTL SYS stealing the show for me.

All in all a great day and I must say that it was all down to Phil’s personality, product knowledge and ability to demonstrate the tools,  answering all questions throughout the day !!

I really enjoyed my Axminster Demo day in June and have booked for a repeat in September, but I am having knee surgery in August so probably won't be able to drive in September.
