Uk hoover/extractor with wrong plugs

I ordered a extractor thinking I was getting a UK 240 volt version but something has seem to have gone horribly wrong [emoji13]

Is there any chance you could let me know the model number I'd need to ask for to get the normal uk 3 pin plug please. Hopefully it'll be fairly painless getting them switched over. kinda gutted I might need to wait another 9 days to get one, the suspense has been driving me crazy !! [emoji3]

Which supplier did you order it from? Maybe they could arrange a swap out directly with Festool, that might cut the delay down a little bit.
 
Folkstone fixings (ffx) I was tempted to take the instruction book home to get my first festool fix but I managed to put it all back in the box [emoji56]

Exact same thing happened to me last xmas time from ffx.
They swapped it over for a uk model..
 
I don't understand why you need to ask this on the forum, contact your Festool dealer and they'll swap it out.

Thanks for that. I read the forum via tapatalk and wasn't aware until I viewed it on a browser this was specifically for U.S customers- my apologies.

That's kind of fantastic news ! Out of curiosity did you have to wait ages for the replacement to arrive- I use to have a U.S penpal when I was a kid, hopefully that'll allow me to ask the question here [emoji13]

There's nothing to be aware of [member=58891]chewy[/member] - this isn't a US only forum.

Clearly you posted this message after the shop who sent you the wrong device had closed for the day, nothing wrong with being curious and asking the question. We can't all have the patience expected of us by everyone.

What i did was use the opportunity to swap my M for the cheaper L model.. so i ordered the L26 separately and they took the M model back for refund..
Saved me a fair bit of money as i didn't really need the M model, I  bought it on a whim.

I remember the thread. Man, another year gone.
 
The main reason for asking was so I could provide the correct info incase asked. Just spoke from someone from ffx and apparently they come into the country that way and then get altered and shipped out- it must have slipped through. Thanks for your helpful comments guys, it's put my mind at ease [emoji6]

What's their solution?
 
Getting it collected, Change the socket on the front, and replace the lead. I was concerned thinking they'd cut off the plug and wire up a crappy plastic one [emoji1] I'm in a world of crap now though as I returned the one I was borrowing last night and need to sand lots of iroko next- I'm gonna be coughing like a champion the next few days !!! Completely stopped using iroko cause it caused major breathing issues but lately it's been use iroko or don't get the job- hence decent extraction required [emoji6]

Push for replacement sent out today and collect the other one whenever.
 
The phone calls been and gone now and courier should be collecting today.  I explained the situation and personally feel no pushing should be required from my part. It's defo not been a hassle free experience so far !
 
Fingers crossed replacement is received tomorrow then as it's no longer in your hands.
 
After the phone call to ffx yesterday I suggested perhaps they might want to throw in some spare bags for the hassle. The guy said hang on then a few seconds later said 'I'll throw in one' I thought 'one' was a bit stingy but to my surprise a pack of 5 came this morning from the postman !!! Very pleased from ffx for sorting that so quickly [emoji41] just the extractor to come now.
 
Yesterday afternoon received a call from festool asking if anyone would be here to accept delivery  (Saturday before 10 am) I've been here waiting since 7am and it's not here yet !!! -10.20am cough cough [emoji30]
