[UK] Suppliers of Veneered Doors?

Hi guys,

Been looking for some doors for an upcoming renovation for a client, 10 oak veneered doors need to be fitted.

However, after looking through some local merchants they only do a few sizes, but not the sizes that I need.. [crying]

Anyone able to point me in the right direction to a supplier in the UK which can help?

Looking for a standard oak veneer, 825mm, 726mm, 686mm, 626mm & 610mm

Annoying thing is that many of these sizes are stocked, but very rarely I find 1 style of door in the 5 sizes!

take a look at xl joinery, lpd doors, and pjs then  find a local stockist or online

i use a mix of xl joinery and lpd that i can get from my local timberyard

Cheers for those [member=6336]speed[/member] , shame they still don't do them in the sizes I require, gonna have to think about putting in either a new lining or pack the other one out!

Looking for 1 uPVC door too, any recommendations for that?

I normally buy blanks cut them to size and lip them and send them to a custom veneer shop. Works out a bit more cost wise but produces the best finish. Not sure of any out your way but I can set you up with people in London via pm if you need.

I've found 2 websites so far, both have the perfect style door that the client has asked for, yet both sites have poor reviews!

That clears things up..

I thought xl joinery, lpd doors and deanta doors were suppliers.. not the makers!  [embarassed]

Checked them out on lpddoors.co.uk and they have a supplier 15 miles from me, will email them and hopefully get a reply in the morning!

I for one always check review sites before buying from any other shop online, but even if 99% are good reviews, that 1% will stick at the back of my mind..  [bite tongue]

Just a quick heads up before parting with any monies, Leader Shapland which I assume is the parent company went into liquidation on 18 Dec 2015. Not sure how or if it will affect the subsidiaries but "forewarned is forearmed".

We have a local company here who distribute nationally they have the biggest door showroom and stockholding of doors I've ever seen!!....Finewood Doors in Falkirk.
If you contact them remember to tell them it's a trade enquiry. The will sell to the public but they get a different rate.

Leaderflush hasn't been sold on like other parts of the company either
