Uk T15+3 Kit now with LED (Pics now posted)

In stead of gettin another systainer and having two layers.  I would suggest which is what I have with my T+15 drill is a Tanos small draw systainer.

Here is a link to it.

I thinks its much better than having two layers and the storage on the lid which I have been told isnt very good.

The draws come out very easily so handy to take with ya to decide what you want to use.

Some images below any way

The only thing I would like to get is the new systainer with the propper 2 layer inserts for more bits and the lid compartments. Anyone know how to get it (or rather where? (I am in Denmark).

Glad you like your new tool.

I could point you to a good dealer from Germany that has almost anything and will ship it to you. I just bought a sys 2 with lid compartment from him for my T15. If with the 'proper 2 layer' insert you mean the American insert, then I don't know if it's available here in Europe. The T15 is only sold in Europe in a sys 1. Maybe if an American T15 owner could look in his systainer and give you the part number, then you could go to a dealer here in Europe to see if it is possible to order it. If not, you might have to find an American dealer who is willing to order and ship it to you.

Personally, I think the sys 2 is too big for the T15 and I am not satisfied with it for my drill. I always keep the charger at home because I can run all day on both batteries without the need to recharge them. So I use the space for the charger by building a box in it to fit a lot of drill bits in, and I put the attic lid on the sys 1 my T15 came in, and together with the space in the lid I can take everything I need. The box becomes quit heavy will all that stuff in it though.

The lower insert is part # 478 013 and the top insert is 478 014 here in the US.

Below is a diagram with part numbers if you want to build your own attic storage lid.  The part numbers should be the same in Europe.

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies. I would like to ask if the (possibly American)sys 2 for the t15+3 inserts have a specific seperate storage space for the diode lamp?

I'll go to my local dealer here in Denmark, and ask if he can get the parts. I think they're smart, and I can have extra bits and bobs incl, the DD-DC in there as well. For example I need some flat drills and long bits.

OT - ps: anyone knows if the lighted Festool level is sold in mainland Europe, eg. Denmark?

Cheers,
Jacques.

I once asked the same question to Stabila Germany.
Unfortunately the answer was: No it's not available in Europe, only USA.
Only the Stabila Black Anniversary Limited Edition models look a little bit like the Festool model, but do not have the extras like on the Festool model.
The Black models are still available from your local Stabila dealer.

Jacques, no, there is not a specific space for the LED light (diode lamp).

Would it be possible for an American T15 owner to post a couple of pictures of the inserts? Thanks in advance.

Ask and yee shall receive, Alex...

The charger is not shown for clarity. It sits on top of the chucks but is hanging on the wall.

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies. The pics are very easy to see. And for that set, as well as my own t15+3, it seems to me, that Festool have changed the way they design their black inserts. Going from rather precise and holding on to the guides and supports of the systainerboxes, to something else, more like loose and not very firm inserts. This means, that bumping around in a car on the way to a job, things may moove around for example (at least in my rock hard car). Some parts are more easy to pick up from their respective positions, than before on the earlier models. Is it only me that have this perveption? Not that I am affected byt this seemingly change, but I couldn't help noticing it, when using my new t15+3 set.
I still believe that the American set is smarter (at least for me), as it leaves just that little bit more room for extras, than the European version sys 1 and with no lid compartment as well.

I know I can just leave the diode lamp on the T15 as there's a specific rest for it in the insert plus the seperate place, but sometimes one may not want it on. In the American set there's a nice little compartment for maybe that amongst the xtra compartments. Nah, I couldn't find any dealers here in Europe, who want's to ship to Denmark. It may be something with national rights for local dealers.
I didn't have time yet to drop by my local small but very good Festool and tools in general dealer to ask them if they could get the spares to change a sys 2 and the three black inserts. But they told me, that they cannot get a sys 2 with the special lid like the Americans have.
Not all possibilities have run out yet  [scratch chin]

Cheers,
Jacques.

Btw. you Americans seem to have a sticker on the T15, that we don't have here in Denmark at least.

Cheers,
Jacques.

The Systainer with the attic (special) lid is available in Europe through Tanos, check it out here. While not a true Festool Systainer it will do the job.
