Had a chat with my Insurance broker today about my Commercial vehicle insurance renewal. I asked him if my tools were insured if I took them out of the van and put the in my shed or house. Apparently if there meant for commercial use, ie my job as a carpenter, there not covered.
My home insurance does not cover them, that was a shock.
You can get tool insurance, but on a commercial insurance policy only, not household.
There's Public liability insurance, but apparently only covers tools in the vehicle and on a customers job.
I already have all my Festools in the house,don't know what I'm going to do with the rest?
