After 5 months of building this and getting it the way I thought was right (and lots of advice from other forum members) I have finally completed it. There were 10 individual pieces used in contruction then l used a light walnut mohawk alcohol based stain and 6 coats of mohawk tung oil to finish. Now my buddy can finally leave the funeral home. I didn't take really good photo's but the finish really turned out good.
