Yes, that occurred to me when I saw the news the other day. Looks bad - I really hope they get it under control soon. Saw that they've declared a state of emergency in SF, due to the water & power situation.

Hi Johnny I'm in a nice part of Brooklyn, quite close to Manhattan. Probably missing the Tool Nut thing, but in town all week. Let me know if you have some evening time free to get a drink, I could show you two around the neighborhood. Lots of interesting places to eat/drink. In fact, I think that's all we do around here after the tools are put away [tongue]

This is us earlier today in central park:

Got to our hotel about 7 last night, then went out for a meal. Today we did Top of the Rock, then walked up to and around the park. I think I've walked about 6 or 7 miles today (pushing Kate in the wheelchair) so I'm completely knackered now! Just getting ready to go out again for a meal.

Thanks to everyone for their support and kind wishes! I'm trying to persuade Kate to come on Saturday so she can meet everyone who can't make it into the city for a meal in the evening...

If Kate will come, i will try to talk THE BOSS into coming along so she can have someone not covered wwith saw dust to talk with.  Brigitte is from a little further over the BIG POND than you guys.  She's not much of a story teller but likes to talk.  She also loves the city (so how come she tagged this ol' hill billy?)  If you do talk Kete into coming, let me know and i will work on my end.
