Simple answer is, I don't know. I'll email Germany on Monday and find out. My guess is that it's best only to use in "spin" mode for drilling in timber and metal or for screws and fixings as Dean mentioned. As soon as I get an answer I'll post it.

Read this question earlier but since it was directed at Warren I thought, let's await his reply first. Since the answer is inconclusive I can tell you that I do know. There is only 1 item in the entire Protool Centrotec line that's capable of being used in hammer mode, namely the set of  stone drills 637573 . Beyond this set, there are no Centrotec items that you can use in hammer mode.
