I'm looking for a way to make straight cuts with my ps300. I'm aware that I should use a track saw for this but for several reasons it is not possible.
Is there an "official" way to use tracks with the ps300 jigsaw ? Is it possible to "see" the cut line (this last question make me wondering if festool could put a laser in their saws materializing the cut line) ?
Thanks !

The jigsaws should only be used on the track with materials up to 18mm thick. Why do you need to see the cut line when it's on the track? Isn't the idea of the track that it's self-guided?  [wink]

You will be able to see the cut line just as well on the track as off.

Thank you very much for your answer !
I wanted to cut something much thicker, so it seems I have to look for somebody having a TS75 near my place :)
It seemed to me that by conception (of a jigsaw), the cut line should be a few cm away from the track. If a laser line from the jigsaw materialized the cut line, it would be possible to position the track very quickly to cut along a line. But probably jigsaw are not really used this way.

I have one of those from before I purchased the ts55 the cut line is away from the edge of the track so not as easy to set up and cut as ts55 but for what you are looking for should work, The guide rail works the opposite way round with that attachment so setting up where it cuts is not so easy.
