Used ct 36 price?

I have a ct 36e that I'd like to sell and upgrade to the new ct 48 ei. I purchased it in 2014 any suggestions on sell price?

2014? Under 50% of current retail. Less if you really want to move it quickly. More if you don't mind waiting for a sucker.

Heavily depends on what you include in the sale and what is that state of it.

30-60% depending on mechanical state

No hose included - $100 compared to a well-kept braided hose
Damaged garage - $100
Vibrating motor on its last legs - $200

Either way, there is IMO no sense "upgrading" unless you have some other reasons. The only thing "better" is the built-in Bluetooth, but there you are much better off just adding the BT module.

Put it up here on Classifieds with photos and see what offer come up.

Stored inside vs kept in the sun... -$ ??

I see come used CTLs that look they have been kept in the sun all day, almost cracking on their own weight, while others look like new 5 years later.

Honestly unless you need the money I'd be keeping the CT36, especially if you may not get much for it, they're a terrific unit and a backup (or three) is pretty useful if the main one has an issue.

I started out with an SR5E nearly 45 years ago and now have 2 Midi's and a CT36 as well, which gives me great flexibility.

It still works as good as the first day I bought it..never had an issue. I have the Bluetooth module as well..I try to take car of it but it has some normal dings..nothing cracked though.

I thought about that as well but I have a midi I and a ct sys which I got lucky and just bought as new old stock from a dealer going out of buisness for a measly $75 bucks.

Just buy a CT 48 bin .. and sell-on your CT 36 one if you need/want the capacity.

There is really not much difference with the "new" ones. Just the removal of the upgrade slot and moving BT to integrated. I would argue they are a downgrade actually as mechanical controls are replaced by touch ... with all that entails (good and bad).

Yeah, especially if the new ones have the same super annoying behavior as the Midi I when it comes to not respecting manual on.

I appreciate all the feedback. Helps alot to hear the different opinions. I also use an older 2012 workstation ..hard to find any compatibility with the newer ct ei units..might actually end up keeping it.
