I just bought a used Carvex that seems to have been used primarily with drywall, cleaned it up and tried to get the lights working (the seller claims to have turned them off) but I cannot get them to work again. Consulted both the manual and the supplemental manual and looked at a youtube clip showing the operation but no light.

Does anyone have any tips that I may try?

When you do the steps. Does it beep at all?

The beep is present after 10 seconds but pressing the right (on the pendulum selection side) power switch does not activate the LEDs in any way. From a youtube clip I understand it as the lights should cycle between the modes.

I have tried with the saw in different orientations as the manual states that it senses the orientation to make sure not to light into the eyes of the operator but no luck.

When I use mine upside down, that is the only time the lights don't work.
