There is a topic on using a Carvex to cut circles that made me think of a question that I've had for a while.
I use a MicroFence circle jig to cut circles up to 4' diameter with a router (usually my Bosch 2018) and it does a perfect job every time. Sometimes I rough cut the circle first, especially with thicker hardwoods. Sometimes I don't.
That said, I don't have experience using my MicroFence with a Festool router - yet. I've got a 2200 and a 1400, and I like the 2200 for the excellent dust collection indoors, despite the fact that it is a beast. The 1400 I like because is it is easier to handle. Anyone have any suggestions for the best way to hook either (or both) of them up to a MicroFence?. Is the best way just to get the right MicroFence adapter for whichever router?
