I'm not quite sure why I had so many of these knobs lying around but they are the ones on the VS600 and several other things. They contain and metric threaded bolt and are pretty comfortable to use. The homemade things they put on the Sawhelper to adjust height and hold the legs onto the stand are non ergonomic and at times pretty much hurt your hands. The SawHelper ones are 3/8" thread and not metric and need to be much longer than what is in the Festool Knob. You can see in the pictures all you have to do is pry the knobs in half, take the bolt out, grind down the shoulders of your larger bolt to fit the hole, drill out the hole to accept larger bolt, grind off a little of the round piece the holds the bolt tight in the knob (because the 3/8" bolt head is thicker), put the two halves back together and now you have a comfortable knob to use. My SawHelper wings attach to my Kapex via the Festool crown stops so now all six connecting/adjusting knobs on my Kapex stand are all pretty much the same thing. I like it much better this way. I'm sure there are some nice knobs out there that can be ordered to do the same thing but I had these and it only took about 20 minutes or so of time.
