One of my favorite things to do is to read posts here and then think about different ways to accomplish them using things that I already own. A post yesterday mentioned the angle unit (491588) and the fact that it was hard to set angles and there weren't any pre-sets.
I went by the shop today - a rare occurrence - and I saw the MFT/3 protractor head sitting on the floor. I wanted to see if it could be used as a guide to either draw lines or position the guiderail. It can. And it has pre-sets available.
Imagine that you need to clip the corner on a piece of plywood that is too large to place on your MFT. Please use the photos as an inspiration for further thought. For instance, perhaps you could mill a piece of wood that would increase the bearing surface at the edge of the board?

My hope is that these images will fuel your imagination and get you thinking about issues that you have read and is there a way to do more difficult things in an easier way.
