Using the MFS to rout a mortise

I thought I would share this technique for setting up the MFS template to rout a mortise for a faux through tenon.  No measuring required.

The plunge base is made by Micro Fence.  It is an awesome setup with the exception of access to the shaft lock for bit changes.

How's the dust collection?

The dust collection hood is a Bosch and it is similar to the Festool pickup.  The problem with either is constricting the opening with a 3/8" OD guide bushing with a 1/4" bit, and nothing picks it up very well even with an upcut bit.  The sawdust just collects in the mortise and gets vacuumed out afterwards.
