Vac hose and cord storage solution

I have a CT MIDI, and like it because I have limited storage space in my SUV, and most of my projects in client's homes don't require much vacuum clean up. The problem is that it is a pain to get both the hose and power cord into the top of the MIDI.

So I bought a SYS-MFT, and cut a notch in the side of the box to accommodate the cord with lid closed. Now I can quickly store the hose where is was designed to go, and flop the cord into the MFT box and depart the job. I can easily carry the MIDI and MFT together, have a stable work bench on the job site, and have a place to store blades, commonly used vac implements, etc.

Good idea incorporating the cord storage with the work top. Nice combined package. CT-SYS.

Yes I like that......(but my "ct-midi" has wheels on it)...I got the sleeved hose and it and it's systainer rides on top and I just pull it out And plug it in, the power cord then easily fits with all the extra room....the sys-mft would be the icing on the cake

I've always thought the CT-SYS needed a sys2 on top for cord and hose storage.

Besides the xtra room, I've never liked the height of a SYS2 + SYS1.  For me, SYS2s need to be used in tandem so that they equal the height of a SYS4. and play nice in a stack of other systainers.

Yeah, maybe Festool should get rid of the hose garage altogether on all the dust extractors, add a cord wrap and just use systainers clipped directly on top for hose, tubes, and tools or any combination of those.

That way, you could use a systainer as large or small as you want.

That's how it used to be on the CT22, CT33, (and CT44, 55 outside NA).

They could also engineer the height of the extractor to match a stack of systainers; so that you could use it as extra support for an MFT with the appropriate selection of systainers on top.  Right now, at least the CT26 is a couple cm too short to exactly match the MFT height with systainers on top.
