Hi all,

I’ve had my vac sys for a while now and I’m yet to give it a permanent home in my workshop. I noticed it’s being discontinued and there’s quite a few new vac sys owners here on the FOG buying one before they’re sold out.

Just wondering if anyone has built a dedicated home for their vac sys with the hoses/connections etc stored in a cabinet? If so, could you please post a picture?

I’d like to install it in the end of my outfeed table with the hoses going through a cut out. The other side of the cabinet is fully open so ventilation won’t be an issue. Do the connections just simply screw off to enable me to feed it through a hole and reconnect it?

I haven’t really seen this done so I’d love to see some pics if possible please.

Thanks!

I ended up making the standard vac sys holder that’s quite common. I used mdf (sealed with multiple coats of osmo). I’ve done quite a few tests and there’s no suction issues that you may experience with raw mdf. The rest was scraps I had laying around.

I’ll cut out a square underneath to connect the cables, cord etc and so I can turn it on through the cut out.

Much more comfortable working height compared to sitting on top of my bench.
