Anyone doing this? My 3.5m hose blew out in two places after 12 years of service. Any way I have always found the 3.5m hose to be too short sometimes. Will the 5m be to unruly? I am going to buy the new style hose to replace it.

Does anyone have a preference on the sleeve with cord models versus the new model hoses? Sleeve seems kind of like a rig and looks like it could catch on wood instead of rolling over it.

[member=652]JimH2[/member] - I have the 5m hose on my boom.  I find the longer length is much better for my cutting table. Although the 3.5mm was ideal for my MFT. Overall I'm happy but it did take time getting use to the extra length when working with the MFT.

I only have the older hoses, but I have been thinking that maybe the newer twist-lock hose fittings might allow you to run a short 1.5m (or so) length of either D36 or D50 hose from the cyclone that terminates at the end of the Boom Arm where you could then connect any size/length twist-lock hose you want. The CT with Boom Arm might also store a little nicer with the hose to the tool remove and put up when not in use. Does that sound doable with these new fittings? Just what I would want if I were getting new hoses for my CT an Boom Arm.

I went with the 5m hose and have never looked back.
