Got to use this for the first time today.  Drilling holes in sloped ceiling over a desk. I had cleared the desktop in case I needed to vacuum up the drywall dust after. But I didn't need to the attachment got all of it.

This product is by far the best bang for the buck that Festool offers. If you apply the usual Festool price to the several components included it would add up to close to $60 yet they sell it for little more than $20.

I think the reason is that it is re-packaged from another manufacturer.

I do wish it could use larger bits...

Got one too and LOVE it for drywall! I have a strong, passionate HATE for drywall dust! This attachment at least makes it so 1/2" and under holes I need to drill in it are dust free!

In Europe there are also drilling nozzle attachments for larger drills:
- Bosch GDE 68 max. Ø68 mm
- Bosch GDE 162 max. 162 mm
- Metabo DDE 72 for max. 72 mm
- Dusttool BA-90 for max. 85 mm
- Dusttool BA-180 for max. 175 mm

Nice! But how does one get those Dusttools in the US?

I'm afraid that most of them if not all are NAINA.
Only the Metabo is listed on Metabo USA.

Not true exactly , I bought one of the Bosch units off of Amazon, sold here in the US. Max drill bit size is I think 1 1/2", and the brush center is removeable for the drills that are larger than the downsized brush center is able to pass. I can look up the model number if someone needs it.  Mine looks like the first Bosch nozzle at the top of the pictures, so maybe it's 68mm max after all , which IS larger than 1 1/2".... [embarassed]
Amazon has it as HDC200 for about $45

Yes you are right about the availability of the Bosch stuff.
The GDE 68 and 162 are sold under type HDC 200 and 250.

I always find it strange that manufactures do change the part numbers in other countries?
Even wenn they are not electrical powered.
