Vacuum hose wear

I love festool products and have had a ct 26 for 4 months. I noticed recently the first 2-3 ft of the vacuum hose, closest to the tool are getting really worn. I could make a smooth 'sock' to stop the hose catching on guide rails. Bench top etc...
Does anybody have any ideas to help me prolong the life of my hose? David cross

There are actually "sock like" products on the market for this very purpose. Not sure about local supply for you though .... hopefully someone will chime in.

I doubt your hose is worn, scratched and dirty looking but probably not worn.  My oldest CT hose, from 2006 I believe, is beat up and it's not round anymore, however, it still functions fine.  Go for the sleeve all the same do the hose gets caught less on the rail.

If you can keep the hose above the tool by putting over your shoulder, add a hose holder to the dust extractor, or add a boom arm.
