So I have a ct36 brand new, I also purchased onedia system. I also purchased the planex, do I really need the ct36 auto clean or will the system I have work?

They recommend using the CT 36 AC with the Planex. It automatically keeps the walls of the dust bag from building up a thick layer of drywall dust.

If you plan on using the Planex a fair amount I would recommend you return the dust collector you have, and get the one built specifically for the Planex, the CT 36AC.

Dust Deputy's tend to let the finest dust thru to the dust collectors bag/filters. They are incredible at removing everything else though. I have one.
