Vacuum without bags

Just ordered a new ct48 and am wondering if the vac can be used without the bags like my fein?  I assume that since it can also be used on liquid the answer is yes but thought I should ask experience users.

For wet operations, yes, no bag and the wet filter.

For dry operation, it is highly recommended that you use bags. The bags act as a primary filter. In the CT 48, a bag is going to hold A LOT of dust, chips and debris. So, you'll get your money's worth.

You should really use a bag as it acts like a pre-filter for the HEPA filter. We also find that customers who do not use bags typically wear their brushes out quicker.

Considering a bag holds 48 liters this is a small cost for your investment

Plus, without the bag the filters will clog up like on a regular bag less shop vac.
