Van racking question

I was asked by a friend that is an electrician who is clueless about woodworking to help with his work van.  He is looking to do shelving/racking.  I don't have a van so I need some help.  For all you guys with work vehicles, I have a quick question for you.

How do you guys secure your racking/plywood shelving to the vans interior sides?

The last two vans I've had I've fixed the racking to the internal pillars with threaded rivets, to do this I bought one of these

The ply I fixed with self tapping screws again to the pillars.
