Vecturo Plunge depth stop

My Vecturo was delivered today. I purchased it for a specific job and because I am doing more and more yacht interior remodeling.
I have to cut out some cabin sole (floorboards) without marring the gel coat upon which it sits so I need precision.  I will also be cutting flush to a vertical panel.
I have a piece of the flooring material at the shop so set up a spacer block to limit the travel to that particular thickness.
I found that half inch or 12mm scrap fit quite well in the channel on the base.
I rabbeted the edges so it hugged the stanchions to improve stability.
Still, the breeze from the oscillating parts  blew it off so I just wrapped a bit of tape around it.
I went a bit too far trimming the height of the block so added edge banding to make it taller after testing.
It will do the job and didn't take long. I will make spacers for common material thicknesses but I can imagine someone adding a threaded insert and set screw to something like this for adjustability.
I think I would still use this method if the base came with a depth stop because there are no moving parts to slip when you can't afford to go too deep.

Great fix, use velcro strapping to attach and you won't have any adhesive residue.  I keep rolls of the stuff in my shop and in my van because I'm always finding new uses for it.

I have never handled a multi-tool before but the cutting went well onboard today and I already feel very comfortable with the Vecturo but now I'm moving into review territory.
