Versatile pair of systainers

Hi everyone, I am planning to buy a pair of systainers for carring few remaining non-festool stuff, festool accessories and jonining materials but also use for fast access to FT accessories in the workshop. The systainer range is so wide that I am lost which ones to choose...? It's like a long menu in restaurant - I never know what to order... :-)

My idea is to have all my Festool accessories and joining material in one easy-to-access systainer and second systainer for some tools. Both systainers should be top-covered, connected and portable as one piece in a hand (not too heavy) but also used independently stored in my systainer port with easy top access.

Assembly set:
- non festool (yet) acu screwdriver with set of bits
- hammer, manual screwdrivers
- several small things such as meters, spirit level, etc.
- joining material

Festool accessories:
- FS-HZ 160 (multiple)
- FS-RSP
- Box-OF HW
- FS-AW
- FS-WA/90
- several KR and ZD for OF

This is the list of sys that I considered to combine together. Any hint?

SYS3 ORG M 89 22xESB
SYS-StorageBox SYS-SB
SYS-ToolBox SYS-TB-1/2 (don’t like the idea of dust as this would be open in the sys-port)
SYSTAINER T-LOC DF SYS 1/2/3 TL-DF
SYSTAINER T-LOC SYS-MFT
SYS3 HWZ M337

Thank you

To perhaps add to your confusion, I have a couple of the drawer style Sortainers (SORTAINER SYS 4 TL-SORT/3) that might be worth considering. I removed the inserts from one drawer so I could fit hammers, a level and even a shelf hole jig. Be aware that I think they're quite heavy even when empty though. Amazing what you can fit into these.

Another possibility if you have a mix of sized tools you want to store would be the options that include a drawer (SYS-COMBI 2 / SYS-COMBI 3) - have you looked at those?

I agree about the open toolbox and I was put off by the height of the handle on that and the StorageBox. (I can see a potential home for the StorageBox though!)

Whilst the Organiser looks tempting, the front handle on those heights protruding when stacked would really put me off (if that's the case - I haven't seen on myself so I could be wrong).

Another vote for the SYS 4 TL-Sort/3, I bought a second one because they're so versatile and handy. One thing I particularly like about them is the fact that you can always access the drawer content - unlike all others where you might have to remove other systainer from the top first.
All the items you mentioned should find in a single one of those Sortainers.

Best thing is that the drawers hold almost all Festool battery drills (with the exception of the BHC). So nowadays all I need for installs is to simply grab this one systainer and I got everything right at hand. DRC or CXS + assortment of screws and drills next to it, couple of handtools (small jap saw, chisels, hammer, screw drivers and wrenches), couple measuring devices, clamps... add to that a little custom made worktop that attaches to the top of a systainer stack (similar to this) and you hardly need anything else on the road.

Interesting. What are the internal dimensions of the drawer? I suppose my existing acu RYOBI R18DD3 is bigger than most FT stuff.

I need at least 75mm in height.

You might be out of luck for storing that specific item then - I've just measured mine. The insert is 70mm and there isn't much clearance above that. The tallest item I have is a mallet head at around 60mm.

Well it can be good excuse to buy FT acudrill [emoji16]
